Be seen accurately.

A five-person laboratory for capable people whose presence does not yet communicate their level. Each participant is observed individually by Christine Graf and leaves knowing what to change, what to keep, and why.

Friday, October 23, 2026 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Winter Park area Five participants. $695.
Christine Graf, founder of The Presence Laboratory in Orlando

Capable, and not quite coming across.

Some hold back. Some polish until little of them is left. Both end the meeting knowing the room saw less than was there.

For some, the problem is confidence. For many, it isn't. What is there is real; it just doesn't transmit. You may recognize yourself if you:

  • Go quiet when attention turns your way, then think of the sentence afterwards
  • Introduce strong ideas so carefully that they land as suggestions
  • Feel natural in conversation and unfamiliar on camera
  • Prepare until the delivery loses its life
  • Have been called polished more often than memorable
  • Adapt so readily that your own presence is hard to locate
  • Are stepping into a larger role that your current communication doesn't yet fit

The aim is not to make you louder or smoother. It is to make you more perceptible without becoming less yourself.

How Christine works

  1. Observe

Before correcting anything, she watches how you enter, listen, speak and respond, in the room and on camera.

  2. Read

She looks for patterns across the whole person: voice, pace, gaze, gesture, language, restraint, and where intention and effect part ways. No single gesture is treated as proof of anything.

  3. Experiment

Each participant gets different direction. One person moves more, another less; one slows down, another needs to arrive. Short filmed attempts, immediate feedback, another attempt.

  4. Integrate

You leave with a clear account of what to stop, what to strengthen and what should stay exactly as it is.

Her feedback is candid and individual. You will not be flattered into improvement, and you will not be taken apart. You will be observed carefully and told precisely what was seen.

Why five, and why in a room

Content goes one way. This doesn't.

Videos and courses can give you ideas, but they can't watch you try one and tell you what happened. Presence changes when someone observes you, says what they saw, and watches you adjust in real time.

That is why the laboratory is expert-led and small. Five places allow Christine to observe and work with each participant in depth, across the whole day.

Much professional communication now arrives pre-smoothed, by templates and by AI. That makes a specific, recognizable presence more useful than it used to be. The tools aren't the subject here. You are.

The day

  1. Arrival and observation

The day begins with introductions and an initial observation of how each person communicates naturally.

  2. Presence and performance

How roles, scripts and habits produce polished sameness, and why capable people are especially prone to it.

  3. Individual reads

Brief filmed exercises, then specific observation for each participant.

  4. Lunch

Catered and unhurried. A pause, not an exercise.

  5. Experiments

Each person tests the changes drawn from their own read, with Christine directing and adjusting as they go.

  6. Final recording

A short professional message, delivered with what was learned rather than from a script, and compared with the morning.

  7. Stop, strengthen, keep

Each participant names theirs. The day ends on time.

Christine Graf

At nineteen, Christine was the youngest radio host in her Austrian state. Live radio is an early education in what a microphone does to a person, and she never stopped noticing.

She went on to a Mag. rer. nat. in Psychology at the University of Vienna, with a background in human-computer interaction. During her studies she entered Austria's Talent Circle as the natural runner-up, when one of twelve places opened after the initial selection. The cohort founded Talente Österreich as its Meisterstück, and Christine, drawing on her psychology training, took the lead on its assessment-center work. She had gone from the candidate who did not yet know how the room worked to the person observing it, and she has never stopped thinking about the difference.

Since then her work has spanned marketing at SAP, media and performance, and high-value real estate advisory in Greater Orlando, where being read accurately by a client is part of the job. The Presence Laboratory brings those threads together.

Mag. rer. nat., Psychology, University of Vienna. Based in Orlando. Works in English and German.

Questions

Is this a confidence workshop?

No. Many people in the room are not short of confidence. The work is about the gap between what is there and what comes across, and that gap looks different for everyone.

Is this therapy or a psychological assessment?

No. Christine's training in psychology informs how she observes, but the day is about communication. What you receive documents observable behavior and its effect, not a diagnosis or a personality type.

Will I be filmed?

Yes, in short exercises. Seeing yourself is part of the work. Your recordings are delivered privately and are never published.

Where exactly is it held?

In the Winter Park area of Orlando. The venue is being confirmed and will be shared with participants once it is.

Can this be run privately for a team?

Yes, in the same format for up to six people. Write to Christine directly.
